Anna Collie – Certified Pilates Instructor
Learn a little about the loevely Anna - our Art of Motion Certified Pilates Instructor
About Anna!
I came to Australia over 16 years ago from New Zealand. I am married and we have one daughter.
I currently run my own business in hairdressing.
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, music, walking running and golf and of course education.
Why Pilates?
I have been a hairdresser for over 20 years.ÃÂ Twelve years ago I suffered injury to my back through my work. My employer at the time directed me to a physio who instructed Pilates one on one. When I was stronger I moved to group classes and became addicted!
I also have a background in teaching so it felt natural for me to teach what I was passionate about.
I have been teaching for over 6 years now and feel so motivated with the students I come into contact with; I love making people feel good about themselves!
My Strengths
My strengths have always been able to relate to people and that will always strive to do my best for others and myself. I am passionate and optimistic and persistent. Therefore my weakness is that I can be too hard on myself.
My Least Favourite Pilates Move
My least favourite Pilates exercise is a sitting position called Japanese Sitting. I have bunions, and it hurts!
My Favourite Pilates Move
My favourite is Cartwheel, it is great for stretching and strengthening the core, spine and legs and itââ¬â¢s a dynamic movement!
Anna normally takes mat and stretch classes on Monday and Tuesday evenings in our Hillarys studio.
