Back Pain. Can’t Move well? What would you write to your younger self?

Many of the clients we see  in chronic back  pain have had a worsening of their problem over the prior years. It may have started as a little niggle that went after a couple of days, and would recur very few months….but it was never debilitating, never a problem, didn’t stop them doing anything apart from ‘being a bit more careful’. Then gradually they notice the incidences would be a bit more frequent…. The back pain would be happening every month, last a week or more and then settle.. the pain was worse and interfered with their day to day activities… but again they could ‘manage’ – they’d just take it easy for  the week and wait for it to settle. The time frame dwindled yet further  they now get pretty much a constant low level niggle that they are aware of all the time -…” but its not a big deal, that’s normal right?…”, and every week or so they have a couple of ‘bad days’ that means they really cant do a lot, but if they take it easy and rest and watch what they do they can still work around it.
