Do You Really Know How to Manage your Back Pain?

Pain Sucks. Back Pain Sucks. Posture Pain Sucks.

I get it – I get that you’re scared and worried about what to do from here.

I know you’ve been trying to hide how much it gets you down. The having to think about how you’re gonna cope and manage every single day, when all you want to do is pull the covers over your head and stay in bed.

It’s mentally draining and physically exhausting for you.

Knowing that whatever relief you get – it’s short lived.

Whatever you’ve tried in the past – has not ‘held’ – and you feel you take 3 steps forward and then 4 steps back.

And I hear you. I know where you’re at and I know and understand where you’re coming from.

It’s hard thinking you’ve been working hard to fight this and getting nowhere fast.

Results are short lived and when you think you’ve finally made a break through…it only last 2 – 3 days and you’re back at square one… and you are done. You are over this.

Over having to get yourself mentally prepped to even get up.

Over having to take a hot shower before your body will let you bend down.

Over having to second guess what excuse you’re gonna give for missing out on social occasions because you’re too worried about how you’re gonna go sitting still at dinner for 2 hours…

Over having to smile and giggle and ‘look like you’re having fun’ when secretly you just wanna go home and go to bed with a hot pack and painkillers.

Over wishing the kids would quit asking you to pick them up and play with them when absolutely that’s the last thing your body is wanting  to do – no matter how much you really  do want to.

Over having to do the day to day stuff at work, and then some when you get home….

Over being so freaking tired, and exhausted and miserable and not being able to see any way out.

But. It doesn’t have to be like that forever.

You may feel you’ve tried all avenues, but you haven’t.

What you have tried is what you thought may work because that’s what other people said worked for them.

But we really are all different….. and you are not medically trained and equipped with the knowledge required to fix yourself. That’s not your remit and nor should it be.

You do however know your own body and what it can and can’t do at present.

….and what you need right now is expert help and guidance to show you what you need to do to move forward. Someone who can evaluate where you are now, and what’s really going on with you and your body, and give you a realistic and accessible way to move forward so you can move out of where you are and get back to living the way you want to and deserve to.

That means getting down to the nitty gritty of what’s causing this – not just fixing the superficial stuff – cos that’s what’s gotten you into this mess – addressing the symptoms that you feel – and that gives you that short term relief when you get hopeful, and then you plummet back into pain again.

And each time that happens – yes – you are slipping further away from your goal – because you are moving further away and causing even more issues – and you don’t even realise that’s what ‘s happening. You just think you’re getting worse and so you stop moving because you think that will make you worse – and it does.

We need to sort out the WHY behind your pain – and get that addressed and fixed so you can get and enjoy long lasting results and changes – changes that will actually make you feel like you’re making progress for the first time.

This is where the real issue lies – addressing the superficial stuff – with a little bit of this and that – get superficial results – you need to go deep to get lasting benefits.. and that requires expert knowledge. It’s not your fault that you haven’t got the results you wanted – you didn’t know what you should be doing. Nowadays everyone claims they can help you – from massage therapists, to chiros, to fitness instructors to physio’s – so who do you believe?

Well that depends on what you want – a short term fix that you have to keep going back to – or long term results and  a solution that gives you back control?

With your health – you shouldn’t take chances – you should go to the experts… but if you’ve been let down in the past – how do you know who to trust? You should know exactly what to do when you get pan and how to resolve it – for each type of pain or issue you get. If you don’t then you don’t have control.

And for sure – there are some dodgy dealings that go on, and not everyone has the right knowledge and expertise to be able to help you.

Sure for example personal trainers know how to strengthen the big muscles – but they generally don’t do the deep ones too well – and they certainly don’t have the clinical knowledge to deal with stages of healing or pathology or know what you need to work or avoid with certainty in different situations,  or know where you’re at exactly so you can get a multi faceted approach.

Medication can help with pain but it doesn’t change how your body moves or the strength or stiffness it may have.

Stretching and release may relief muscles spasm – but then what are you doing about why you have spasm in the first place.

These ALL need to be addressed alongside how to get you from where you are now to where you want to be in the RIGHT way – addressing issues in the right order so you can get lasting results.

You just have to decide you’re ready.

And you have to choose that you;re willing to take the chance and try something different.

I know what we do works because we’ve been doing it for so many years and gotten so many great results….
