Core Strength – Have we all gone soft?

How much do you actually USE or work your body day to day and in turn your Core Strength?

I’m from an era ( and I’m not THAT old), but housework was still quite labour intensive and used heaps of core strength!
⭐️ Hoovers were heavy, hard and cumbersome to push around
⭐️ We had to wheel out the twin tub and manually connect it, then manually move the washing from the wash part into the spinner part next to it….
⭐️ Washing windows took a day – or it felt like – because we had windolene to put on – then that had to be wiped off, then polished…
⭐️ Floors were scrubbed with a scrubbing brush
⭐️ Cars had NO power steering so we actually had to use muscles to get them into gear and turn the wheel
⭐️ There were no phones – so you had to walk to a phone box
⭐️ And horror of horrors – the worst thing EVER – you had to get off your bum to change channels on the TV!
Things have changed so much in society – Rhumbas’s do the floors – we set and go, dishwashers do the washing up and drying, washing machines make life so easy. spray and wipe means we’re no longer SCRUBBING or polishing anything.
In my humble opinion – and take it or leave it – we’ve all gotten soft.
We no longer need to do the basic day to day physical activity that we were doing even 20 -30 years ago.
Everything has advanced so much that we have less physical effort involved in what we do day to day – UNLESS WE CHOOSE TO BE ACTIVE.
Day to day living 30 years ago kept us active – it WAS labour intensive, we had to use muscles,
Theses days – not so much.
We can get away with filling things up and pushing buttons, and it all takes minimal effort – so when we wonder why our body hurts or we’re no fit – or we feel weak – that’s one thing we sort of forget – day to day life is the easiest it’s ever been.
We need to make an active choice to keep moving and get moving and stay strong and active….otherwise we do end up stiff, sore, weak in pain and we wonder why…
Do you do anything active based at all?
If so what?
You gotta be doing something you like – that’s key
